Additional criteria for sacrifice bunts have been added to the baseball sim. In addition to the existing criteria (hit is unlikely, never bunt with a man on third, with nobody on first or second, two outs, or bunts set to "never" in the coaching options), the following criteria apply based on position (pitcher vs. non-pitcher).

Pitchers
- Never: never bunt
- Less: man on first, second open
- Normal, More, Most: no additional criteria

Non-Pitchers
- Never, Less, Normal: never bunt
- More: man on first, second base open, no outs, tied or down one
- Most: man on first, second base open, no outs

The help pages have been updated to reflect the additional criteria.

Loren Smith: I think John's request is to have one setting for position players coming up to bat that can be different than the pitcher. I tend to agree with him, I want my pitcher almost always bunting with less than two out. But, I rarely want my position players doing so, especially my middle of the order power hitters. 3Dec19 Follow up: I generally think Andy's proposal is an improvement. What work effort would there be in also building in a game situation measure for non-pitchers? I may want increased bunting when tied or down by 1 late in the game; but, maybe never when down by 3 or more.
John Henry: Sacrifice bunt: Least To clarify I only want position players to bunt in a game winning situation, so all of my settings are 'Least' except late/tied. The only exception is the above scenario is with my pitcher. I want them bunting most unless there is two outs. In the AL you don;t have this issue so probably just don't see it happen as often as our NL games. 2/11/19 This is the perfect example...todays game. To be fair he flew out with 2 strikes so not 100% sure he wasn't bunting but this would have been a prime spot for this. Bases empty. No outs. Batter: Viola (0.258 BA, 11 HR, 33 RBI, 0.304 OBA) Single. Viola on 1. No outs. Batter: Desimone (0.000 BA, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0.000 OBA) infield drawn in. Fly ball to Camacho (CF). Out. I like the proposal seems to solve the issue.
