Request For: Pro and College Basketball Request Title: Travelling, Goaltending, Technicals Description We could add a little life to the basketball pbps by adding a variety of uncommon calls to the game. I think this could be done just by adding a special check to a number of calls that already exist. 10-SECOND VIOLATION ... if the defense is playing full court press and the game calculates a turnover, give a 1% chance that this was actually a backcourt violation. TRAVELLING ... if the game calculates a "lost control" type turnover, what if 0.1% of those were listed as "called for travelling." 3-SECOND CLOSELY GUARDED ... this could be another ... when the game calculates a bad pass, what if 1% of those ended up being "3-second closely guarded" GOALTENDING ... the game already calculates how open a shot is. If the shot is very difficult but it is good, give a 5% chance of goaltending. TECHNICAL FOUL ... this would be net new I suppose. When there is a foul, give a 0.1% chance that the coach will be called for a technical foul, giving the team two free throws and possession. INTENTIONAL FOUL ... if a foul results in an injury, give a 10% chance that that the fouler is called for an intentional foul and ejected.
