Request Title: Use AI for game summaries
Description
The game generated game summaries are pretty stale and the capabilities of LLM chatbots is impressive enough now, could we look at having AI generate the stories? At least the ones that appear on the league homepage?

I started a thread on the basketball board using AI with CBEL data, including asking it to generate a PBP of a game. It actually did a really good job: http://dolphinsim.com/board/Basketball/msg171883.shtml

Are there any online tools that can do that free? Just as with the request for a smartphone app, this may be unaffordable.

By the way, just for kicks, here is from ChatGPT's summary of today's ACC title game PBP:

NC State captured the ACC championship in a 77–75 thriller over Boston College, surviving a furious second-half rally and winning it on a baseline fadeaway by PF Tyrone Boykins with seven seconds left. The Wolfpack led 38–32 at halftime and surged to a 47–32 start after the break behind back-to-back threes from Shawn Jones, but BC clawed back behind hot shooting from Marcus Gibbs and steady play from Diego Arcos. After BC took late leads at 68–67 and 71–69, NC State answered: Aaron Oliver buried two deep threes in the final five minutes and later hit a contested trey with :27 remaining to tie it at 75. Out of the final timeout, Darren Brown found Boykins on the left baseline for the game-winner.

Jones paced NC State with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Boykins added 20 points and the decisive bucket. Brown stacked 12 points, 7 assists and 4 steals, and Oliver chipped in 15, including the clutch makes. BC was led by Gibbs (21 points, 7 boards) and Arcos (18 points, 3 blocks), with center Cal Riddle contributing 10 points and 5 blocks to anchor the Eagles’ matchup zone. NC State’s own matchup looks—and 13 team steals—tilted the turnover battle at key moments, and the Wolfpack’s perimeter shot-making down the stretch proved the difference.

Adding the box score so it gets the first initials:

NC State captured the ACC title in dramatic fashion, outlasting Boston College 77–75 on a fadeaway jumper by Tyrone Boykins with seven seconds left. The Wolfpack controlled much of the night, leading 38–32 at halftime and stretching the margin to 47–32 early in the second half behind back-to-back threes from Willie Jones. But the Eagles stormed back behind Derek Gibbs and Carlos Arcos, taking brief leads in the final minutes. Down 75–72, Brandon Oliver buried a contested three with 27 seconds remaining to tie it, setting up Ethan Brown’s assist to Boykins for the title-winning basket.

Jones, the game’s Most Outstanding Player, delivered 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Boykins led all scorers with 20 points on 8-for-16 shooting. Oliver added 15 points on five triples, and Brown orchestrated the offense with 12 points, seven assists, and four steals. NC State hit a sizzling 15-of-27 from three (55.6%), offsetting Boston College’s superior inside game. Gibbs led BC with 21 points and seven boards, Arcos scored 18 with three steals and two blocks, and Brian Riddle anchored the paint with 10 points and five blocks. Despite BC’s 49% shooting and narrow rebound edge, NC State’s perimeter firepower and clutch execution secured the Wolfpack’s first conference crown in over a decade.

I'm generally a luddite who thinks AI should be outlawed NOW before it destroys humanity, but this seems like a pleasant cosmetic change.
