Nothing should be put after the "autogm" or "noautogm", nor is the
usual "done" required. Setting autogm will set the computer to handle your
team's draft and free agent signings; running noautogm will unset the autogm
setting, so that you will once again handle those actions manually.
In college, setting autogm will instead set the computer to run your team's
inviting and recruiting.
Essentially, this is a choice of convenience versus control for your team.
If you are going on vacation and need the computer to take over, this is a
good way to avoid a totally wasted offseason, although you might wind up
with signings that you don't want. Alternately, if you just want the
computer to make necessary draft picks and no signings, you should not use
autogm and let the computer fill your team for you (which it will do
automatically if your team has holes).
Examples:
AUTOGM
NOAUTOGM
